Sayura Beach Hotel - Unawatuna

The location directly on Dalawella beach allowed for amazing ocean views and very nice swimming with the colorful fish and turtles right off the shore. The breakfast options were plentiful and pleasing to the eye. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Lack of proper maintenance.

Stayed here for 5 nights, the hotel was perfect and clean, had stunning views, top location within walking distance of two very nice restaurants. A double room was well-equipped with comfortable bed. Our stay there was really enjoyable.

this hotel was ideal and i would book again. i really enjoyed the place, it was fairly clean & the staff were pleasant and amazingly nice. its amazing, beachfront location was a plus. the service here was excellent.

Was all great!

The communal areas need a lot of love and maintenance. For instance, dusty ledges in the stairwell and dead plants in the corridors can give off a neglected vibe. The breakfast selection is limited, and it feels a bit off to charge extra for decent coffee when you're already paying over $120 a night. The hotel seems to be in need of investment, as the facilities show signs of age, and it's disheartening to witness such potential being underutilized.

Had a blast at Sayura Beach! The beach access is unbeatable, with turtles swimming right off the shore. Sunsets from my balcony were amazing. Just wish the breakfast had more variety, but overall, a solid stay!

The lagoon in front offers opportunities to snorkel with turtles. Perfect for aquatic lovers.

Just celebrated my birthday at sayura beach and it was fantastic! The ocean view from my room was nice, and i loved watching turtles swim by. The staff was super accommodating, and the breakfast options were a good experience.

The location is just fine, with ocean views from every room. I loved chilling on the beach loungers, watching the turtles swim by. Breakfast was decent and the staff were super friendly. Just watch out for noisy waves, they can be a bit much sometimes. Plus, more sun loungers would be nice .

Amazing stay with a view!

We stayed for just one night and loved it! The view from our big balcony was to die for. Breakfast had these awesome and fresh smoothies that were perfect after a long day in the sun. The only bummer was the pool being a bit cold, but seriously, who cares with the beach so close? Totally recommend coming here!

The location on the beach is amazing, we loved chillin by the semi indoor pool which was always clean. The staff was super friendly and the ocean view from our room was a total highlight, turtles were swimming around every day! Breakfast was more than enough and looked so nice on the table. We even had an excellent dinner one night, really good food!

comfortable stay but some maintenance needed

The hotel offered a quiet location with a shaded beach area, perfect for relaxation. I appreciated the spacious room that featured two air conditioning units, allowing me to adjust to my comfort needs quickly. The excellent water pressure in the shower provided a refreshing experience after a day of exploring. I loved the ocean view from my room. Watching the turtles swimming by was a good touch.

The broken chair in the room could have detracted from the overall experience.
